The Solution

SAAS Integrator meticulously addressed Hurst Scientific’s diverse challenges by using a mix of application programming interfaces (APIs) and push notifications and implementing the following solutions:

Integration of Retail and Wholesale Tier Pricing and Special Sale Prices

Firstly, SAAS Integrator integrated Hurst Scientific’s tier pricing hierarchy with MYOB Acumatica and WooCommerce to create a dynamic B2B experience. This integration extended to syncing the following customer types:

  • Customer IDs
  • Customer price classes

We established a robust and flexible tier pricing structure based on unique customer attributes for retail and wholesale operations. The topmost tier featured fixed sale prices, followed by customer ID-based prices, customer price class-based prices, and default stock item prices. Our solution imported existing customer classes for different customer roles from MYOB Acumatica and pushed them into WooCommerce. It also added new customer classes from the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to WooCommerce.

Moreover, we synced tier prices based on sales price expiry dates. So, after the expiry date, customers would see default stock item prices instead of sales prices on Hurst Scientific’s website.

Our connectivity solution delivered a frictionless and personalised B2B experience for Hurst Scientific’s clientele. It also allowed the company to track real-time sales data, helping it make informed decisions and respond quickly to customers for an improved customer experience.

Also, we implemented a solution to manage Hurst Scientific’s promotional sale prices alongside retail and wholesale prices, allowing for effortless handling of dynamic pricing structures.

We also integrated MYOB Acumatica sales price module with WooCommerce, ensuring the effective management of special sale prices without disrupting the retail and wholesale pricing framework. To achieve this goal, we customised the WooCommerce code and created a bespoke wholesale plugin to manage the pricing and integration. The plugin also enabled customers to access product prices easily, making shopping more convenient.

Price and Stock Integration for UOM-based Conversions

The challenge of creating additional products and a price matrix based on UOMs and other attributes demanded a strategic approach. SAAS Integrator’s solution involved integrating prices and inventory between MYOB Acumatica and WooCommerce. It enabled seamless UOM conversions or UOM-based inventory calculations (for example, units into bags and packs into boxes).

Our integration solution mapped and migrated sales prices from MYOB Acumatica based on stock-keeping units (SKUs), ensuring accurate pricing and optimised stock management based on diverse product attributes. It also allowed the MYOB Acumatica software to control sales prices efficiently without interfering with the standard retail and wholesale pricing structures.

Our solution showcased different product variations on WooCommerce based on UOMs in MYOB Acumatica. It offered Hurst Scientific warehouse-based or location-wise stock management capabilities, too. It mapped stock and price values against warehouses, helping the company maintain stock quantities based on the given location after converting them into UOMs according to conversion rules. It also created different SKUs per the conversion rules, helping decide which location will stock a particular SKU.

On-Account Checkout and Sales Orders

Recognising the need for flexibility in sales order options, SAAS Integrator implemented an integration solution that went beyond traditional pre-payments.

Integrating MYOB Acumatica with WooCommerce helped Hurst Scientific access various sales order options, enabling on-account checkouts and multiple sales order configurations. It integrated sales orders, purchase orders, taxes, terms, payment methods, and other related details. As a result, Hurst Scientific could serve diverse customer preferences, easing the checkout process. It also allowed customers to choose the most convenient payment method to suit their needs, driving sales.

Moreover, Hurst Scientific — known for processing orders on the same day — could sync real-time orders and update fulfilment statuses across systems, enabling customers to track orders quickly.

We also tagged wholesale orders when passing order data from WooCommerce to MYOB Acumatica so that Hurst Scientific could segregate order types instantly. This differentiation of wholesale orders helped the company track and analyse its B2B sales and improve its selling strategies.

We also synced additional fields, such as WooCommerce order reference numbers, non-stock items (freights, discounts, coupons, special fees, and courier charges), and other customised order line items. It helped Hurst Scientific enjoy increased customisation in the integration setup and align it with the company’s workflows.

Customer Structure Setup

SAAS Integrator created a customer structure by mapping data between MYOB Acumatica and WooCommerce to help Hurst Scientific effectively manage customer data, including individuals and companies. Under this structure, we segregated B2B users based on roles in their companies. It enabled different users or personnel to access various benefits and permissions when shopping from Hurst Scientific’s store website and streamlined the buying process for their organisations.

Hurst Scientific also wanted to track multiple email addresses of its client companies. So, we synced this data, too, to help Hurst Scientific and its client companies track order placement by different personnel. It also enabled Hurst Scientific to display varying prices to B2B users as per their company roles.

Moreover, we mapped data about Hurst Scientific’s existing, newly registered, and guest customers, enabling the company to offer different prices based on customer IDs.
