Four Steps from Install to Live

1. Sync your price groups. Open LoyaltySync in Shopify Admin, navigate to Price Groups, and click "Sync from POS." Every group defined in Retail Express — sell price less 5%, cost plus 20%, wholesale rates — appears in Shopify within seconds.
2. Customers match automatically. Each Shopify customer carries a metafield storing their assigned price group (e.g., "Wholesale," "Gold," "VIP"). The SAAS Integrator middleware keeps this in sync with Retail Express. When a customer's tier changes in-store, it updates online.
3. Pricing calculates in real time. When a logged-in customer views a product, LoyaltySync reads their price group, applies the matching rule, and displays the result. No cached prices going stale. No batch jobs.
4. Checkout enforces the discount. A Shopify Function ensures the loyalty price is honoured at payment — not just displayed. The customer pays exactly what they'd pay at the counter.

Four Pricing Rule Types — Matching Your POS Exactly

LoyaltySync supports the same four rule types available in Retail Express price groups. Whatever you've configured in-store carries over directly.

1. Sell Price less % — percentage off retail. Ideal for tiered loyalty: 5% Silver, 10% Gold, 15% Diamond.
2. Sell Price minus $ — fixed dollar amount off retail. Clean and predictable for flat member discounts.

Customer Matching — What You Need to Know

The link between Retail Express and Shopify is the customer's email address. When a customer logs in, LoyaltySync matches their email to their Retail Express record and applies the corresponding price group.

First-time Shopify sign-ups work too. If a customer creates a Shopify account but their email already exists in Retail Express with a Gold tier, they receive Gold pricing on their very first login. No manual linking needed.
